Freo Doctor Lottery In a unique charitable partnership, Austal employees have been participating in the FreoDoctorLottery with profits going to the Fremantle Hospital Medical Research Foundation.

“Austal are focused on getting behind the local community and supporting community initiatives wherever and whenever we can.”

“The FreoDoctorLottery is a fantastic project and provides a forum whereby our workers can support the important research of the Foundation whilst at the same time having a little fun with the lottery. "

Penny Young, Foundation Fundraising Manager, believes donations raised through the FremantleDoctorLottery are vital for the continued success of the Foundation:

“It is only through the support of organisations such as Austal that we are able to continue our important research into the most common diseases and illnesses effecting Australians everyday. Austal have proven their dedication to the Foundation and in doing so have also shown their commitment to the local hospital and community.”

With over 120 Austal employees paying between $2 and $10 to participate, workers vie for the chance to win a cash prize in a weekly lottery. Introduced by the South Metropolitan Area Health Service in 2003, the Foundation receives enough donations from their proceeds to fund medical research into various health conditions including diabetes, heart disease and cancer.
