Repeat Austal Customer Orders Efficient Medium Speed Ferry
Austal has secured an order for a highly efficient medium speed ferry with leading French Polynesian operator and existing customer, SNC Aremiti Ferry. The 80 metre vehicle-passenger catamaran is scheduled for delivery in October 2013.

Oman Ferries Continue To Set Records
With its Austal built high speed ferry “Hormuz” having already increased the record for the world’s fastest diesel powered vehicle passenger ferry, setting a target of 56.3 knots on 19 November 2010, the National Ferry Company of Oman has now confirmed that her sister vessel “Shinas” has broken that record by achieving a speed of 56.6 knots.

Austal Unveils Its Largest Ever Catamaran
At around 20 metres longer than a standard soccer pitch and weighing around 1000 tonnes, the vessel will be able to hold up to 1,400 passengers and 357 cars when complete and travel at speeds of up to 40 knots.

“Jean De La Valette” Delivered To Virtu Ferries
Mediterranean based operator Virtu Ferries recently took delivery of the 107 metre vehicle-passenger catamaran, “Jean de la Vallete”. The vessel marks a significant milestone for Austal being the largest catamaran built by Austal in Australia and its 24th commercial delivery to the Mediterranean region.
