Designed and constructed by our team in Australia for the Pacific Patrol Boat Replacement (PPB-R) Project as part of the Commonwealth’s Pacific Maritime Security Program (PMSP), the Patrol 40 (Guardian-class) patrol boat design is based on our proven patrol boat 58 (Cape-class).
The class is capable of traveling at 20 knots, and at 12 knots possesses a 3,000 nautical mile range, with each vessel able to accommodate 23 people.
The 22 Guardian-class Patrol Boats have been constructed at our dedicated Pacific Patrol Boat Replacement Production Facility at Hope Valley Naval Base (near our Henderson shipyard) in Western Australia and are supported by our service centre located in Cairns, Queensland.
